Born February 20, 1902 in San Francisco, California to a prominent family. Ansel Adams was a brilliant photographer and environmentalist who took black and white photos of the American West and Yosemite National Park which he was most famous for.  He was a man of ingenuity and ideas who also, developed the Zone System: The Zone System is a photographic technique for determining optimal film exposure and development, formulated by Ansel Adams and Fred Archer in 1941…
