A WINTER’S DAY
The withering autumn leaves fall astray
On the white pure snow lays
Upon the wintry drenched ground
The old summer flora abound
Blue brittle petals flow into the icy gust
Twirling over the snowman with thrust
Howling echo nearby the frosty windowpane
Down comes a mixture of snow, hail and rain
Close the dark brown eyes and gasp
Take heed the blizzard wind rasp
Inside sipping a warm cup of mint tea
Enjoy the scent of apple cinnamon potpourri
Holidays gone by with fond memories
Gaze out to the barren Christmas trees.
