Outcasts

Through lush green valleys and red brick roads
Look onwards toward strawberry horizon sky
One step at a time to unburden excess loads
Spread long arms apart and wide so to easily fly.

Clear salty tears fill the elongated murky rivers
Taunted masses huddled by a stateless campfire
A swaddled baby giggles at the roars and thunders
A smile and a wink warms a heart that is in dire.

Hope is a light on a flout and tiresome journey
Faith held openly for all boastful judges to perceive
Love is stretched out arms in granting life for refugees
Humanity without peace is an existence unable to conceive.
