Mother and Child

Wide chestnut eyes glimmer more than a moon beam
A morning ray of sunshine in a delicate smile so deep
A brisk wind blows around an oval face with esteem
Delicate small hands under cheek while fast asleep.

Tender innocence fills an empty heart
Soul lifted by a gentle warmth of love
Feeds life fully even when apart
Grateful for eternal home from above.

Renew fidelity for all who are in destitute
An immaculate gift defeats scorn that will endure
Cease entire grievances by fortitude
A blissful embrace bestows an everlasting cure.
